MY APPROACH
My Holistic Approach to Women's Health PT
At its core, my greatest passion is to support women through every season of life. Some seasons can be more difficulty to navigate than others. We carry so much unspoken weight of our lives, pouring into our families, careers, extra curriculars, house, bills, social obligations, while also trying to squeeze in our own workouts or personal time/care and more. It's hard! It's overwhelming! Not to mention, dealing with an actual pain or dysfunction in the midst of it. PAIN IS EXHAUSTING!! So if you're reading this and nodding your head... We might already be friends.
Not only do I work with women through some of the biggest hormonal shifts in their life (pregnancy, postpartum, perimenopause, and menopause) I also work with all the little seasons in between.
"I hurt my back working out"
"I'm dealing with chronic migraines/headaches"
"I tweaked my knee while playing with my kids"
"I started having this new hip pain with running"
"I'm having a lot of pain in my upper shoulders while working at my computer all day"
"I'm having pain while being intimate"
"I can't keep up with my kids, I'm so out of shape"
"I don't know how to get back on track, but want to be healthy again"
"I need help, and a whole lot of Jesus"
Wherever you're at, I can meet you there. I would be honored to be your cheerleader and support you while you rise above what you thought you were capable of!
What To Expect During Your Sessions
During the initial evaluation, we have time to sit and chat so I can know more about your story. Having a full history and big picture view of what you're dealing with and facing helps me hone in on where to look. The goal is to begin to peel back layers of the onion to find the root cause of pain, dysfunction, mobility deficits and any other limitations that are holding you back from being the best version of yourself.
Next, I move into my assessment portion. I like to see how you move while doing some functional movement patterns. Some may be familiar or ones that you frequently struggle with and others may be completely new! Either way, if possible, I like to see how you move.
I may look a little deeper into specific mobility or muscle testing depending on how you present initially. But everything I do is with utmost respect to pain and comfort level. This will always be a safe space and you are always encouraged to share thoughts, concerns, fears, questions etc.
I like to also do some further assessment into actual structure, joints, tissues, muscles, nerves and more to make sure I'm completing the picture your body is presenting.

My Holistic Approach to Physical Therapy and Dry Needling
As a physical therapist, my mission is to help people not just recover—but truly heal. I specialize in dry needling, a powerful technique that targets myofascial trigger points to relieve pain, restore movement, and reestablish functional balance in the body. But what sets my practice apart is how I integrate naturopathic principles into every step of the healing process.
The benefits of dry needling are magnified when also paired with not only electrical stimulation, but therapeutic exercises that appropriately load the muscles and joints being treated.
However, I also acknowledge and respect each person's own decision to decide which treatment options are best for them. For example, active individuals who regularly exercise may require less hands on training and may choose to come for just the dry needling portion of their holistic care.
I support and accommodate all care plans to meet each of individual's needs.

The Power of Dry Needling in Functional Recovery
Dry needling is a minimally invasive technique where thin, sterile needles are inserted into muscle tissue to release knots, reduce tension, and improve range of motion. Unlike acupuncture, which is rooted in traditional Chinese medicine, dry needling is grounded in Western anatomy and neurophysiology. It’s highly effective for:
-
Chronic pain
-
Sports injuries
-
Muscle tightness
-
Postural imbalances
-
Neuromuscular dysfunction
By addressing the root cause of muscular tension and dysfunction, dry needling can accelerate healing and support long-term recovery.
Dry Needling For Maintenance Care
Dry needling can be an effective maintenance tool for individuals who have returned to their previous level of activity following injury or rehabilitation. By targeting trigger points and releasing muscle tension, dry needling helps prevent the recurrence of pain and supports long-term musculoskeletal health. Many patients incorporate dry needling into their ongoing wellness routine to manage stress, reduce muscle tightness, and maintain optimal performance. Whether you're an athlete, an active professional, or someone simply looking to stay pain-free, periodic dry needling sessions can play a key role in preserving mobility and preventing future issues.
